“The Spirit-filled life is not, as many suppose, a life of peace and quiet pleasure. It is likely something quite the opposite… if we want to escape the struggle we have but to draw back… that is all Satan wants. Compromise will take the pressure off. Satan will not bother a man who has quit fighting. But the cost of quitting will be a life of peaceful stagnation. We Sons of Eternity simply cannot afford such a thing.” – A W Tozer

“To fight the good fight of faith and lay hold of eternal life” (1 Tim 6:12)

“Fight the good fight of faith”

Realize that we are in a battle, a battle for our families, friends, neighbors, ourselves. Encourage men to be courageous, to overcome fear and discouragement, never letting it keep him from God’s will. (Ephesians 6:10-18) (1 Peter 5:8)

“Lay hold of eternal life to which you were also called”

God has given us the gift of salvation and a life of eternity spent with Him. Receive God’s gift of salvation and live victorious in that knowledge; to glorify God by walking worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him and being fruitful both at work and at home. (John 3:16) (Romans 5:8-9) (2 Cor 6:2) (Heb 4:16)

“Confess the good confession in the presence of many witnesses”

As men we desire to love Jesus and to make his love known. (Acts 1:8), (1 Peter 3:15)

That is getting to be a difficult question for this generation to answer. I believe America has been on the decline because the understanding of what it is to be a man is on the decline. The heroes of the past were honest, heroic, self-sacrificing, and sought to do what was right. Where the heroes of today are Hollywood actors, rock stars and sports figures that glorify self- satisfying pleasure. It seems to me the best way to discover how to be a real man is to look at those in the past where true men who were not ashamed to glorify their maker and to seek to follow after God. Real men are rare and yet if we look they can still be found. History has shown us where to find men of courage who were not afraid to stand with God when everyone else was against Him. This year we are going to study the life of such a man – a man who faced real giants and real warfare and was victorious. We will study the life of Joshua and learn where he found his strength and courage. It is there that we will learn the meaning of what it is to be a man of God and it is then we will find victory in our lives today. Join us in the battle as we seek to bring God glory – together as His sons of eternity.

Welcome to Calvary Chapel San Jose’s Women’s Ministry! Our desire is to be “Women of Virtue,” as described in scripture, in a modern world! As each day passes, it seems as if the characteristics that God values within women are becoming more and more obsolete. What are these characteristics that God holds so high and are displayed in a virtuous woman’s life? Proverbs describes these characteristics as strength, diligence, hard work, creativity, compassion, honor, kindness, wisdom, frugality and much more. How are they displayed in a woman’s life?  Our quest within “Virtuous Woman” is to dig into God’s word and find out! As women of virtue, we desire to know and be obedient to God’s word so we can grow in our love and knowledge of Him enabling us to be a blessing to our husbands, children, parents, friends and the world around us! Please take a look around our site, hopefully you can make new friends, learn some new tips, and get a glimpse of what this “virtuous” life looks like!

If you desire to learn how to live this life of virtue, join us, as we aspire to be Virtuous Women for the glory of our Lord!

For His glory,

Welcome to The Way High School Ministry page

OUR VISION: teach our students to know Christianity is more than a belief; it is a WAY of life, a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord. The Christian life is a constant progression to know the love of Jesus Christ and to make His love known.

Connect: We encourage a genuine connection to God through Christ Jesus. We encourage connection with the youth leadership team and to connect with each other.

Equip: We train students how to inductively study the Bible on their own for their own personal devotion time and possibly for fellowship groups and Bible study with each other.

Serve: We support students finding their calling and using their gifts to serve their families, the church and their communities. Our worship team consists solely of students and we love to see them taking an active role in the youth group.

+ Teaching the Bible and applying it to the students’ every day lives

+ Fellowship with one another and time spent together in prayer

+ Engaging times of worship

+ A dependency on the Holy Spirit in all things

Welcome to The Way Jr. High Ministry page

Our vision is to grow in our love for the Lord and share His love with others. In Jr High, we journey together chapter by chapter and verse by verse, through God’s Word, on the came study plan with High School and the Main Service. Along the way, we discover how to follow His leading, learn of His truth, and receive a lasting and true life from our Lord. As we grow together, we are sure to stop and enjoy the fellowship in fun and LOUD ways! We also help students share their faith through their personal testimonies, handing out Bibles and tracts, and with community outreaches.

John 14:4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

“I am the way the truth and the life” John 14:6

Teaching our student's that the only way is through Christ, and through Him we have life!

“In Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3

Within this room our children are taught God's Word, which is the firmest of foundations. As a church, we need to go back to the basics of Christianity! The A, B, C’s.

a. Apologetics

b. Biblical authority

c. Christ centered

We use Answers in Genesis Sunday School Curriculum and your children will be learning how to build a solid foundation upon God’s Word. We show them His plan revealed through the history of creation and the plan of redemption through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We teach through God's Word, Genesis-Revelation, every three years. We integrate science, history and apologetics. Lastly our children enjoy group lesson time, group activities, and take home sheets.

We desire for our children to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to train up a generation of spiritually mature, well equipped young men and women, who have answers to the questions that skeptics ask. We aim to develop our children for a life of opportunity and service to the glory of God.

We are committed to serving and supporting parents in the spiritual development of their children, from birth to 5th grade.

We offer one service @ 10am.

Children attend worship with their parent(s)/guardian(s) in the main sanctuary. Following worship, escort your child(ren) to the Treasury Room check-in booth. Visitors have a designated check-in booth where they can receive information about the Treasury Rm.

Each class is divided by grade, although all children are kept together for the lesson, which is taught by one of our leaders.

Treasury Guides reinforce the curriculum and teaching, ensuring that each child is receiving an age appropriate study of the Bible.

Bible memory verses and handouts are used for grades kindergarten - fifth. Sermon note taking is taught in the third - fifth grades. Our children’s ministry servants create an atmosphere filled with love and grace by which the Word of God speaks clearly and affects the daily lives of our children and their families.

Childcare is provided for all services. Simply head to the childcare rooms located off of the gym. If you need help locating the appropriate room, please visit the information booth in the lobby.

1) Escort your child to the Treasury Rm check-in table & obtain your child’s name tag.

2) Receive Parent Check-Out ID Card

3) Child may then enter to their grade-appropriate area at which time their Treasury Guide will sign them in.

1) Enter Treasury Room to pick up child(ren)

(do not remove name tags)

2) Head to designated exit door with child(ren)

3) Exit Monitors will collect and verify Parent Check-Out ID Card and child’s name tag.

We thank you for your cooperation in helping this to be an effective and secure system for your children. If you decide to make Calvary your church home, please register your child to receive his/her permanent name tag.

Calvary Chapel Entebbe is a ministry of Calvary Chapel San Jose.Their heart is to minister the love of Jesus to the community, the state, and the country and even to the uttermost. Craig and his wife Loren Linquist and their family were sent out of Calvary Chapel San Jose in 2004 to bring the gospel to Entebbe, Africa. Since their departure the Lord has used them mightily in their community. Calvary Chapel Entebbe was planted in Nakiwogo near the shore of Lake Victoria in 2006 by Pastor Craig and Loren, along with a team of Bible school students from Calvary Chapel Kampala Bible College who had a heart for ministry and a desire to be part of a new church plant. This church is in a place that God is raising up the next generation of children, to rebuild the waste places and the fallen foundation of many generations. A Bible school, an elementary school, a widow’s farm and an orphanage sponsorship program have also been established by Pastor Craig at Calvary Chapel Entebbe. God is continuing to expand the work of Calvary Chapel Entebbe each year and we are grateful to see His work being accomplished.

John 15:4-5

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

Branch is a ministry for young adults 18-28 years old. Come join us for a time of worship, prayer, the Word, and fellowship.

Every Sunday @ 7pm in the church cafe.
