I grew up in a home where we went to church every Sunday, but our home was anything but a sanctuary and a refuge. My siblings and I even played church when we would get together. My Dad was angry all the time and had little or no time for us. But, in spite of all that, I always knew that God loved me and had a plan for my life. About 16 years ago I was invited to a Bible Study here at Calvary Chapel, but continued to attend the Catholic Church every Sunday. After about 4 years of attending the study, I started questioning a lot of the doctrine that the Catholic Church was teaching and was slowly realizing the truth of God’s Word and how I needed a Savior. I left the Catholic Church one Sunday and never went back, and since I have surrendered my life to the Lord, my life has never been the same.
